Over twenty years ago, I recorded a live jazz performance in a small club tucked inside an ancient Roman amphitheater. It was the kind of place that felt timeless—just twelve tables, candlelight, the sound of dishes from the kitchen, and the soft murmur of conversation between songs. You could feel the energy, the connection between the musicians and the room.

That night, a group of accomplished players—each already established in their own right—came together by chance. Between tours and looking to unwind, they decided to play for the joy of it. They called themselves Radial, and what they created was something rare: spontaneous, soulful, and full of life.

The recording from that evening was quietly stored away and nearly forgotten. But recently, the original masters resurfaced—and they still sound as warm, rich, and immediate as that night so many years ago.

For the first time ever, this unreleased session is available on reel-to-reel tape—an authentic slice of musicianship, just in time for the holidays.
