Why Reel-to-Reel
Quality and exclusivity draws attention and raises demand.
With the resurgence of vinyl records, LPs can no longer be
considered underground or exclusive. Time to bring back another
- better - format from the past: the audio reel. Utilized in
recording studios and broadcasting since the 1940s, reel-to-reel
remained in primary use until being replaced by digital in the
1990s. A predecessor to consumer formats like 8-track tapes and
audio cassettes, these reels also served the home market between
1948 and the late 1970s.
Reel-to-reel provides unique characteristics and the analog
medium allows for linear recording & editing while giving
listeners a distinctive sound lauded by audiophiles worldwide.
Reach new audiences by releasing full albums on reel-to-reel. Or
drive exclusivity by providing limited releases on this elite analog
medium. While digital has devalued the arts, this rare format
allows for premium pricing.
From Les Paul and the Beatles to Frank Zappa and Queen, for
decades, recording studios relied on audio tape. So why not
remove the medium changes and provide your music on the rich
and versatile format that is reel-to-reel?

What is Reel-to-Reel?
Reel-to-reel, (also called Open-Reel and Audio Reel) is an analog
audio format consisting of 1/4” magnetic tape wound onto a reel
that as it plays is fed onto a take-up reel.
Considered the best of the best, reel-to-reel offers the richest and
highest quality audio experience which feels warmer, more
dimensional, and authentic than digital. Audio reels have become
a niche format for analog studio enthusiasts & collectors alike.
